Hobbit House

You’re given a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s the plan?

Provided that the land is in New Zealand (my ideal destination — don’t ask why, because I don’t have an answer), not too far from a city, but far enough that it’s nice and quiet, and slightly hill-ish, I would build have someone build a hobbit-hole for me.

It’s not because I am in love with Lord of the Rings (although I do love the series, both the books and movies) or because I was particularly fond of The Hobbit (even though I am), but I would build such a “house” in such a place because I rather like the idea of living underground, in a hill, tucked away from the rest of the world.
